Our Mission: "Making Disciples through a Loving Community"
Every Church should have the same mission, because we all received the same marching orders from Jesus:
"Go and Make Disciples of all the Nations." The difference is in how we go about doing that. How do we make disciples?
The tendency is often to focus on conferences, classes and seminars to make disciples. While these
activities help, we believe disciples are made through community. Jesus made disciples by sharing life together in community and He calls us to be a local church family on mission together.
We want to reach the people of Spokane Valley with the good news about what Jesus has done for us - and how we can live the life we were created to live by following him. This pathway provides a framework for us.
These words explain what we're about as a church - and how we go about being a church.
God calls us into a relationship with Himself through Jesus Christ. Because of His love, He sent Jesus to live a perfect life on our behalf and to die the death that we deserve for our sins. By grace, through faith in His life, death, and resurrection, we are brought back into fellowship with God. Christianity is not a Religion...it is a Relationship.
We connect with God weekly through our Worship Service.
As we are born into a new spiritual life, God commands us to grow (2 Peter 3:18) and helps us to do this through the power of His Holy Spirit in us. As we follow Christ together, we grow closer to each other (fellowship) and become more like Christ (discipleship). The growing process should never stop this side of heaven.
We grow together through our weekly Life Groups.
The Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many. He came with a mission...to seek and to save the Lost. Since He left us with marching orders, we are
"together on a mission". We have been saved to serve. Every member of the family has an important role in the mission, so we want everyone to find a place of service through one of our many ministry teams.
